What are your rates and accepted forms of payment?
I operate a hybrid practice where I accept both cash pay and a limited amount of insurance coverage options.
My session fee is generally set at $165/session. I accept cash, check, or credit. A sliding fee scale based on annual income may be considered for clients who experience financial hardship. Please call for more information.
Do you accept health insurance?
I do accept health insurance; however, I have limited availability. I can provide a monthly superbill for “out-of-network” clinical services, which may be covered in part or in full by your health insurance plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking your provider these questions:
Do I have "out-of-network" mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
What is my "co-insurance"?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per session?
Is approval required from my primary care doctor?
In instances where out-of-network benefits are covered, you will be responsible for payment at the time of service and your insurance will reimburse your expenses.
Are there any benefits for paying out of pocket?
Insurance companies mandate a diagnosis, oversee your health records, and may seek access to your information while in therapy. They also may limit your coverage to a set number of therapy sessions per year, regardless of what you're going through. When considering the implications of using insurance, paying out-of-pocket is a better fit for some. Please feel free to call me to further discuss any questions.
Who do you work with?
I work with primarily adults. I welcome people of all racial-ethnic identities, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and body sizes to my practice.
How often will we meet and for how long?
We will meet once a week, during a consistent time slot. Maintaining this consistency, as well as a more long-term commitment to therapy (at least 6 months), is essential. Research shows that therapeutic change is due in large part to the therapeutic alliance and like all relationships, they take time and care to grow. If you are ready to invest in long-lasting change, instead of quick fixes that only address the surface, we may be a great fit!
This sounds like a wonderful fit. What should I do next?
to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. This will give you an opportunity to share with me about your interest in therapy and ask any questions you may have. From there, we may schedule an intake, so that I can learn more about you and your concerns, and we can determine if we feel aligned to begin this deeply fulfilling work.
